ENKIRI ELITE RATING SYSTEM
Starting in 2025 all fitness equipment that I review will use the same 10 point scale rating system. The system is based on 5 separate categories with each category being worth a maximum of 2 points.
If the piece of equipment is perfect in a particular category then 2 points are awarded for that category. For each moderate to severe flaw half a point is docked from that category, for a range of anywhere from 0, to 0.5, to 1.0, to 1.5 points.
The total rating is based on the scores of all 5 categories added together. The 5 categories that are analyzed are:
Assembly Process
How easy or difficult is the assembly of the piece of equipment relative to other similar pieces? This category is graded based on difficulty as well as total time taken to achieve completion.
Build Quality
How heavy duty is the piece of equipment? Is it solid and sturdy or rickety and wobbly? Do I feel safe and confident while using it? Am I unable to push myself hard due to a subpar build or out of fear of potential equipment failure?
Features
What add-ons and features does the piece of equipment come with? Is there anything cool or unique? Is it missing something that should be standard?
Usage
How do the exercises feel? Are they smooth or cumbersome? Can the machine be adjusted to make things work well for different body types and sizes? What kind of movement variety is available?
Value
What overall value does the unit bring to the table for home gym owners? Is it multi-functional? Is it cost effective? Does it take up too much space for a home gym?
1. ASSEMBLY PROCESS
Let's kick things off by discussing the assembly process. The Gazelle Pro is pretty badass piece of equipment. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but it's a pretty massive improvement from RitFit's original BLP-01 Leg Press and Hack Squat Machine that I reviewed early last year. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty sure they made a few adjustments to this new and improved piece based off of my feedback!
But anyway, I've assembled a lot of home gym equipment at this point so I'm quite well versed in the whole process. I always do the assemblies by myself for the sake of consistency, so that I can more accurately compare how easy or difficult an assembly process went. And this particular assembly was honestly quite easy overall! I completed the assembly over the course of 2 days, spending about 2-3 hours each time, so somewhere between 4-6 hours in total, which isn't quick but it's not bad for a big piece like this either. It always takes a little bit of time just to get everything unboxed and whatnot, and I include that in the assembly time as well.
What was nice here though is that the whole process super smooth, super easy, and very straightforward. There was only one single snag that I ran into my whole way through the manual: it was step 9. That particular step took me about 30 minutes to get through all by itself.
This is the part where you have to secure the top cross brace on the machine, and in order to do that everything needs to be squared up perfectly or you absolutely cannot get the bolts to run through their designated holes, and the margins for getting everything lined up are pretty small here. I had to apply a lot of leverage against the side posts on the machine, while simultaneously tapping the bolts through their respective holes using a sledgehammer.
So this part was tedious and a bit time consuming, but other than that the whole rest of the way was super smooth sailing.
Most of RitFit's equipment is assembled using carriage bolts, and that was also the case for the Gazelle Pro as well. Carriage bolts are awesome because they only require a single wrench to tighten into place. All you have to do to is make sure that square head on the backside of the carriage bolt is pushed into place and then you can easily tighten the nut onto the other side with a single wrench.
Most other home gym pieces don't utilize these and so you end up needing 2 separate wrenches to secure every single bolt. So these carriage bolts makes the assembly process much easier and smoother overall, which is really nice.
Assembly Score: 1.5/2.0
Docked half point because step 9 was quite tough and tedious
Smooth sailing other than that
2. BUILD QUALITY
The Gazelle Pro 3-in-1 Leg Press and Hack Squat Machine by RitFit Sports is pretty much built like a tank. It has an impressive 1,300lbs weight capacity that inspires confidence in its durability and stability. Whether you’re racking up heavy weights or performing high rep sets, you’ll feel solid, stable, and secure on the RitFit Gazelle Pro. It is built to handle heavy use, making it a dependable option for intense workouts, and you will not be afraid to work hard on it.
The frame is exceptionally sturdy, ensuring no wobbling or shifting even under substantial weight. This stability lets you focus entirely on your workout without distractions or fears, meaning you can truly push things to the limit, which is going to help you to take your gains to the next level.
Quality Score: 2.0/2.0

Heavy duty AF
3. FEATURES
One of the highlights of the Gazelle Pro is its versatility and user friendly features. Transitioning between the leg press and hack squat functions is seamless, taking roughly 15 seconds. All you need to do is adjust the upper plate to the desired angle and switch the back pad. This ease of use makes it an excellent option for varied workouts without unnecessary or lengthy interruptions.
The machine has 4 plate storage holders on the backside, an essential feature for keeping your home gym tidy and organized. Additionally, these plate storage holders, along with the loading sleeves on the side of the machine, are easily removable. They twist right on and off in the snap of a finger allowing the footprint of the machine to be cut down from roughly 60 inches wide to roughly 31 inches wide when needed. This adaptability is a game changer for those with limited space.

Top loading pins are removable
The footplate for the leg press is adjustable to 3 different angles, catering to users with different builds and preferences. It's really nice to have multiple footplate options so that you can find the angle that feels smoothest for you, or that helps you to shift the movement towards the particular muscular emphasis that you may be trying to target that day.
This time, RitFit also increased the width of the leg press plate from roughly 18 inches wide on their original BLP-01 model up to over 25 inches wide on the Gazelle Pro. I had mentioned in my previous review of the BLP-01 that I thought the foot plate was a bit too narrow, so it was really nice to see them take that feedback into account here to improve the new Gazelle Pro.
Other features of the Gazelle Pro:
The shoulder pad is really nice. It's got a semi-circular curve to it so that you can stay locked in really nicely for reverse hack squats.
The machine has wheels and rolls really well, but it is quite heavy and large which can make maneuverability difficult in tight spaces.
It has a bottom safety stopper which can be adjusted to 4 different height settings depending on how much range of motion you require.
There are 2 different sets of band pegs: one set on the side of the machine so that you can add band resistance, and another set on the top of the machine so that you can use band assistance. This is a pretty neat feature that I hadn't seen before.
Leg press vs bands
Heavy but wheels easily
Features Score: 2.0/2.0
Very easy to transition machine
4 removable weight plate storage holders
2 different sets of loading sleeves (1 of which is removable)
3 angles for the leg press footplate
Shoulder pads are nice
Has wheels and rolls smoothly
Adjustable safety stopper
2 different sets of band pegs (one for resistance and another for assistance)
4. USAGE
Using the Gazelle Pro is an absolute pleasure for leg day enthusiasts. Roller bearings ensure the weight sled moves incredibly smoothly, providing an optimal experience for exercises like leg presses, hack squats, and calf raises. To ensure the smoothest operation, I recommend applying a bit of WD-40 to the tracks before your first use.
The machine’s design accommodates a wide range of body types, allowing for adjustments that help maximize range of motion and comfort.
For the leg press, I'm able to get maximal and fully unimpeded range of motion, which is awesome.
Hack squats also feel really solid and productive for me, although I cannot quite achieve maximal range of motion without bottoming out the machine.
Calf raises are brutally productive.
The only true limitation I ran into during my testing was in terms of the reverse hack squat, where no matter what adjustments I made I was simply not able to get adequate range of motion to make the movement productive for me. For that I had to deduct half a point from the usage score because I know I can't be the only short king out there who wants to do some reverse hack squats!
However, it's also important to note that taller users likely will not run into this same issue and will probably find that they are able to get plenty of range of motion on all the movements, including the reverse hack squat.
Decent but just not quite enough ROM for me
Roller bearings are smooth
Adjustable safety stopper
Overall, performance of this machine is excellent. The movements feels productive and secure, enabling you to train hard and effectively without compromise for a very solid workout experience.
Usage Score: 1.5/2.0
Roller bearings make the work feel nice and smooth
Adjustability accommodates a wide range of body types and sizes
Really nice range of motion on leg presses
Adjustable safety stopper is appreciated
Docked half point for lack of range of motion on reverse hack squat
5. VALUE
The Gazelle Pro offers strong performance and versatility, but its ultimate value depends heavily on your training priorities, specific needs, and budget. With a retail price tag of $1,359, it’s a significant investment. However, its durability and functionality make it appealing for those seeking a high quality machine.
It’s also important to acknowledge that this machine occupies a substantial amount of space, and in spite of its multi-functionality is still relatively niche in its application. If you’re working with limited room or looking for a more general purpose piece, this may not be the most impactful choice for your home gym.
Taking all factors into account, the Gazelle Pro strikes a good balance between cost, functionality, and performance.
Value Score: 1.5/2.0
It's built well and does what it's supposed to do to a very high standard
Has some nice features as well
But it's still a large and niche investment that takes up a lot of precious space
Docked half point for the impacts of the footprint and the cost
FINAL THOUGHTS & RATING
The RitFit Sports Gazelle Pro 3-in-1 Leg Press and Hack Squat Machine is an exceptional piece of equipment for serious leg training. Its heavy duty construction, smooth performance, and thoughtful features make it a standout choice for dedicated lifters and home gym owners.
While it’s not without minor drawbacks, such as limited range of motion for reverse hack squats and a higher price point, these are relatively minor issues in the grand scheme of what the machine delivers. For anyone looking to elevate their leg workouts the Gazelle Pro is a fantastic option. The final score for this machine is a strong 8.5/10.
